Is it possible to skip that 'fairy tale' quest?
Is it possible to get to the final ending of my Witcher 3 replay by skipping that 'fairy tale' quest with the 3 little pigs?
I really hated that quest.

You can and will skip it if you choose to see the Unseen Elder. But if you choose to find Syanna then no, you can't skip it.

As above, but I LOVE that little scene, btw Northwind is sweet for boars, or Axii.

I see. So I can safely start that vampire 'Detlaff' quest, then just pick the other choice.
But what if I completely ignore the vampire 'Detlaff' quest -- will I still get to the final ending with Triss or Yen moving in with me?

OP, I think you might have it misunderstood. Both the fairy tale quest and the Unseen Elder quest are different branches of the main quest for the Blood & Wine DLC, which you're currently doing. Both branches eventually involve Detlaff, as he's a major figure in that DLC's main quest. The main difference between the two branches is that the fairy tale quest helps lead to the good ending, and the Unseen Elder quest leads to the bad ending.

If you do the quest involving the Unseen Elder, Triss or Yen won't be able to move in with you.

So in other words, if I want the good ending I'm forced to go thru that fairy-tale mushroom land. Oh boy! That's what I was afraid of.

What exactly is it about the Land of a Thousand Fables that you don't like? I think it's an interesting addition to the game, and a funny riff on those old stories.

2 reasons:

1: It's not my type of fun and I just don't want to go trough it again.

2: It reminds me of those blockbuster films where they attempt to please the widest audience by throwing everything in -- like something for seniors, something for little kids, something for tech-geeks, something for romantics, something for gay people, and something for every human race on Earth.

Based take.
But on the other hand the game is a 100+ hours many of that being fluff garbage content so who cares about a couple wasted hours

But this 'fairy tale quest' just seems painfully long, having to meander through a maze of mushrooms and irritating, corny characters with no way to get out without enduring the entire mental torture till conclusion. If it was an optional side quest, I'd have zero issue with it.
Anyway, it's still preventing me from getting to the great Triss conclusion like a bed of thorny bushes would prevent me from getting to a yummy pizza vendor.

The fairy tale quest does not prevent you from the Triss Conclusion. The person you end up with at the end of Blood and Wine depends upon choices you made in the base game.
