Geralt in TW2 has no memory of anything (Because spoilers... Amnesia(?)) > Triss takes this opportunity to seduce Geralt... > in TW3 Yennefer shown hurt by Geralt (in Vizima), "ah truth you had amnesia ..." > Triss apologizes for behaving that way (in the maze or near...)
geralt-yenn couple/husband (like father for ciri)
geralt-triss lover (like sister for ciri)
ciri lesbomancy, ya u know sooner or later
BUT is your choice
Triss, on the other hand, was always the jealous kind. Even though Yennefer is literally her best friend she goes to sleep with Geralt (which was already Yen's love interest for a long time) behind her back.
Triss also betrayes her friends when she secretly works with the Lodge of Sorceresses, trying to find Ciri and use her to advance their political agenda.
A small dialogue from the scene i was talking about:
[...]If he despises you, he [Geralt] will not attempt to take revenge. By the way, he's probably already dead or will die any day now.’
‘The information’ Yennefer said dully, ‘for his life. Save him, Philippa.’
‘No, Yennefer.’
‘Because it's not in the interest of the Lodge.’ A purple fire kindled in the sorceress’ eyes. ‘Did you hear that Triss? There, you have your Lodge. You see their true colours, their true interests. And what do you think of them? You were a mentor to the girl [Ciri], almost – as you put it – a big sister. And Geralt...’
‘Do not attack Triss’ relationships, Yennefer.’ Philippa retaliated with her own fire in her eyes.
‘We will find and rescue the girl without your help. And if you succeed, that's fine, a thousand thanks, because you will have saved us the trouble. You tear the girl out of the hands of Vilgefortz and we will be happy. And Geralt? Who cares about Geralt?’
‘Did you hear that, Triss?’
‘Forgive me,’ said Triss Merigold dully. ‘Forgive me, Yennefer.’
‘Oh no, Triss. Never.’
She's the developers favorite, so they re-wrote her character to be more in line with gamers expectations. Even the romance is "sweeter" compared to Yens.
Triss if you are more into young chickens because she is something between 30-40 years.
Yeah on grudge regarding love affairs found totally strange how Yen reacts. For rest maybe CDPR didn't create 3 continuing stories but 3 independent takes on Geralt's and related people's stories. That'd explain why so little carries over from TW1 to TW2 as many say and from TW2 to TW3.
Don't think you can ever trust anyone powerful but as long as sex's good and life's interesting and enjoyable may choose to play with fire :D Can always keep eye out and break up on your terms when things go south. Unless you get mind controled and similar ♥♥♥♥♥...
You may be forgetting that Geralt's around 100 too...
Triss has a sunny personality but she's quite manipulative. Yen is cold/heartless and bossy. They're both very jealous although Yen shows more and Triss shows less (or not at all) because of their nature. But I think they both care for Geralt (as in the game at least). I've only read the Sword Of Destiny book so I don't know much about them in the book.
I dig Triss' appearance more even though I'm into mature woman.
Two different writers put together here.
First off, in the books (Lady of the Lake), when they were on the way to Rivia, Yen burst out with rage to Triss, call her out and actually threatens her and "advises" her never to even speak to Geralt unless he speaks to her.
At this point they are interrupted by Ciri, catching up to them with her Kelpie, and Yen concludes with "this conversation isn´t over, Triss."
The rest of the conversation, as you know, never took place because moments later, Geralt was dying and Yen was giving her life trying to revive him.
Isn´t this grudge enough for you, Buzzard? Especially if we are talking about someone who supposedly is very "cold".
In W3, the writer(s) decided that she would rather "attack" Geralt´s behavior instead of Triss´s.
Which, by my understanding is a complete fail. That is OOC especially because she knows damn well Geralt had amnesia, just like her, and she knows damn well what a snake Triss is behind her back.
This is a writing fail, IMO, because they fail to recognize character behavior from the books and end up writing a OOC scenario.
Already had a conversation with you about this, and you are obviously free to have your opinion. But for me, you fail to see the merits or good points of a lot of those characters, that in many cases outshine the cons they have.
But it is a matter of taste. Nearly every character in the Witcher world has reprouvable actions and are still seen as "good" characters.
Fringilla and Síle are "good" people despite some actions. Keira is selfish and immature, but she isn´t exactly a villain.
And Ida is IMO the female version of Geralt. She doesn´t care for the Lodge despite of having accepted to join. She just wants to be alone in the Blue Mountains and cares not for politics... only wants to be with her books and stuff.
But anyway... none of them is perfect. The only two close to "perfect girls" have almost no importance. Shani and Essi. But those aren´t sorceressess.
Yenefer wasn't there in Witcher 1 or 2 (mention only in 2) and she's pretty damn hostile, willing to do anything for answers, plus she's with Nilfgaard.
