I got the job from the old woman in lindenvale, but when I go the manor there's only a few wraiths there, no traps or letho. I read this is a problem with importing saves from witcher 2, however I have never played witcher 2. This is on new game +, and the (witcher 3) save I imported for ng+ was from a playthrough where I did find letho in the manor.

Obviously you did answer Letho alive in barber scene before royal visit? If yes he should show when you climb ladder. If no you're SoL (unless it can be console hacked). I think it doesn't matter what TW3 save you use questions get asked again in NG+.

When you import the save from normal game of W3 to play in ng+, the only thing you import is gear and level. The decisions obviously can´t be imported because you are playing though it all again.

If you never played W2 and you got Letho in your normal playthrough then it is because you either simulated W2 save that way (when General Vohris asks those questions in Vizima), or you didn´t simulate the same and the game randomly picked it for you.

You also have to decide if you have to simulate, import or let the game randomize the choices from W2 for your NG+. That isn´t imported from the normal playthrough.


My guess is that the game randomized those choices for you because you haven´t imported or simulated the saves from W2.

Just reloaded old save and confirmed those questions get asked again in NG+ (obviously chose to 'simulate' Witcher 2 Save).

The first time through I might have said letho was alive, don't remember if I simulated a W2 save or not. This time it's very possible that I either didn't simulate a W2 save or said letho was dead by accident. Thanks guys.
