Read Witcher 2 save file to find out choices somehow?
I'm up to the point in Witcher 3 where you have to choose the choices you made in the Witcher 2. I thought the save file was loaded but I misread it and didnt realise it was just simulated.
The problem is that I can't quite remember all the choices I made in the Witcher 2 as it was so long ago that I played it. I don't want to start the game again obviously, so perhaps there is a way to load the Witcher 2 save file without starting again?
Or is there someway to read the save file to confirm the choices I made?

Nothing like that. The best you can do install Witcher 2 again, and load up the save file to watch the ending sequence to see what decisions you made.

CMIIWW but I just watched my TW2 ending sequence and it won't help you. No mention of La Valette, Letho, Iorweth. You can only find out Triss decision indirectly if Conclave reestablished you chose to rescue her, if mages burn you didn't.. This may help refresh your memory perhaps http://witcher.wikia.com/wiki/The_Witcher_2_decision_checklist

ok well anyone the only thing I'm really not sure about at this point is if I killed Aryan or not. Pretty sure about the rest.

If you simulate I'd choose that Letho is alive.

My advice continues to be to forget about your actual W2 save since importing it will have little actual consequences for TW3.

Instead, choose to Simulate (choose YES) and then you'll have an opportunity in Vizima when you go to meet the emperor to answer five questions regarding choices made in W2. Answer them as you wish and that will be the W2 world state for your game. It's the only 100% surefire way to get what you want since sometimes the game imports the incorrect save.

The save with the most progress when importing from Witcher Two is the one at the bottom. I found this out after starting New Game+ and i've made a new game with the right import, just- too lazy to do everything again.
