What's with the cat in Tamara's place in Oxenfurt? Geralt can't seem to stop staring at it as if it reminds him of someone or something.

Not that I'm aware of. But lore wise cats are supposedly sensitive to Conjuction creatures, which witchers kinda sorta are.

I guess in Witcher 3 the cats had mellowed. None of the cats at 7 Cats Inn seemed to mind having Geralt nearby.

I didn't read books yet but I found cat scene nice touch nevertheless as it put me on full alert there expecting spying, witchcraft or similar shenanigans :)

I was waiting around for at least 5 minutes for something to happen, but nothing.
At least Geralt could have done is stood there with his arms folded and said "meow."

at first i suspected Nibbles to be Anna (Tamara's mom) under a spell and that Geralt sensed this.

The cat froze and glared at him angrily, folding back its ears and hissing, teeth bared.

"I know," nodded Geralt, "I don't like you either. I'm just joking."
