Main story line, quest killing bug; Poet Under Pressure. Can't climb ladder UP. Light *SPOILER*

I've sent in a ticket with project red, but being it's the weekend I will most likely not hear back from them for several days, so i thought I'd give here a try.

It's from one of the main story line quests "Poet Under Pressure" You access the Dwarven home from an outside location, are now in the cellar and need to climb UP a ladder to what I assume is to save Dandelion. The ladder is not offering me an "E (use)" command and I've tried everything I can thing of to activate it;

jump
spam jump
jump + W
spam jump + W
all of the above standing close and standing a bit off
approaching it slow, step by step
approaching it fast
approaching from the side
reloading a prior save
restarting
going back outside and coming back in
Playing the game a while and going back to attempting the ladder

And no, Geralt is NOT under the affects of any potions. I can't climb up the ladder, hence not able to progress. -_-

I saw a solution to this for ps4....(spamming jump + W) but that didn't work for me.

Anyone else come across this and if so, find a solution?

I'll try that. I was using the witcher senses to grab loot as the cellar has a lot of content, but didn't focus on the ladder

And no...I was going back as far as getting the keys from the Dwarves, but hey....if it means going waaay back, I gotta do what I gotta do, this isn't some side quest that I can just say "oh well"

Someone suggested verifying the game's files on steam.....so I went ahead and did that, low and behold, a file was corrupted, reaquired and it works now! Dandelion, the insufferable ♥♥♥♥ that he is, has been saved! :)

I' have the same problem but am less familiar with how to verify the game's files on steam. How do I do that? This seems to be the only quest with a problem. Reloading did not work.

You still won't get the option to press P (E or whatever you have set it to) but Geralt climbs the ladder

Make sure you're standing on the correct side of the ladder. This has caught me up a couple times.
