The game is simply over. You can mob up the remaining quest if you want (that's why you can come back to Kaer Morhen), start a new game (NG+) or do the expansion, but if you do not want that you simply close the game.. It's over and done...

That is not the Question. In fact it's better if you say WHY CDPR will let you Play after The Main Quest, Honnestly i don't know...but i think they failed to be clear in the end so many Gamer said :" Where are this or that ?", If it was clear and easy to understand You didn't need to ask.

Why? Apparently you never made it to the end. So Why? The game gives you a message as to the reason why. It also states main quests would not be available, which means Ciri, yen, triss would not be available because you only saw them in the main quests.

So that you can explore world and optional quests after finishing story. Not everyone's completionist (even if I'm pretty much one :P).

The Witcher world by CDPR is boring, it's not an open World, it's a fake open world.

And yes i finished the game, 2 times, i don't care about all that garbage made by CDPR, only the Gwent is fun to play, Geralt is boring, choices were boring 98% of the time, the end is like a big BS in your face. ( LOL kill Eredin Breac Glass who is a ghost in Geralt's world but Avallac'h is an a*sh*le and a slaughter too like Eredin.)
Where Cirilla find the Power to Fight the White Frost ? Good one. CDPR was stupid and thought nobody can't see them.

I enjoyed it but world isn't really "alive" either. Many robots & repetitive behavior. But at first glance it's awesome.

We're currently looking into wether or not we can mod the house geralt and yen lives in after the game, and copy in a few of the romantic lines

As to the world itself, putting in a super live post game world in a game driven by its story seems nice and all, but what's the point? I would personally have liked to be able to visit the house you have with triss or yen, but overhauling the entire world seems like a lot of work for a game that's essentially over at that point
