Princess in Distress Quest - Can't ring bell
My mouse won't program (in game or by Setpoint) for "middle mouse" button to ring bell. Is there another way to ring the bell, or do I have to dump the quest?

"Mouse won't program". Can't change buttons either in-game or with MS Setpoint.

So how are you tossing bombs or shooting your crossbow? Just curious since it's the same key.

I don't do either. New to the game, only bombs I've used were planted in demon pits (use E). I have the bell in inventory in "pockets". It shows on main screen with food items, but has no key to select the bell. "middle mouse key" does not work on commands with my mouse. No crossbow yet, either. Question remains, how do I ring the bell?

Sorry but I don't see what prevents you from going to Options -> Key Bindings -> Use Quick Access Item from TW3 startup screen and assign key such as 'P'. This has nothing to do with mouse settings in MS Windows.

Thanks v0 - using keyboard was my last option. I'm a little anal about mouse programability - I've used a trackball since they came out. I don't like controllers since I don't play console games, so I'm rattling sabres with MS and the game folks. You can program a side button with Setpoint, but you can't assign it as "middle mouse" button - you can but it doesn't work. Appreciate your extended help!
