Can't cast signs

My "cast a sign" meter is full, but I can't cast any signs from one minute to the next. Is that a bug, or am I missing something? I restarted the game, to no avail.

Did u change the cast key? it's set to Q as default.

Ya know, to cast signs with "adrenaline", that's the 3 red sections under ya stamina, ya need yo unlock the skill. When you enter battle, adrenaline fills automatically, unlocking skills, allows you to use Adrenaline for various things, extra sword damage for instance, OR casting signs with out stamina.

It's RT on a controller, and I've been using it since I started. Just suddenly stopped working altogether, in and out of combat.

I can't cast signs right now. Just tested my controller and it's fine. 🤷‍♂️

dx 11 or 12?

its the newest version of game?

does it work in other location?

try deleting user settings , and .bak in documents (dx12 as well)

then enter game again and change settings again.

this should do restart of your keys in game.

if you have some mods that could be it as well.

So, playing this without signs sounds like a terrible idea, and since I can't use them, this game was even more a waste of money than I originally thought. I'll play Days Gone again before trying to get this mess to work.

You could just use mouse an key board.

you could use mouse and keyboard to see if it is a controller issue

signs still work with my xbox controller and mouse/keyboard

maybe the win10/win11 major patch tuesday update last week messed something up

That's probably what happened, bkz it worked fine one morning, and then didn't work that afternoon (not sure when all the updates got pushed out to everyone). So I guess I'll check in in a year or something to see if they fixed it. Which will be my third try to play this thing.

Can't you just restore windows before the update ? Instead of waiting a full year ?

How would restoring windows fix a bug in this? Everything works everywhere else but this game, and it sounds like the devs are the ones that broke it.

The game hasn't been updated in months so I fail to see how it'd be a game update causing it rather than: a driver update, a steam update, or a windows update.

click on community hub. over 11,000 in game. and everyone of them using mouse/keyboard? controller works on my copy of the game.

since you still believe the game is at fault, no one here can help. go to the cd projekt website and create a support ticket. they will need to know technical details on what needs fixing - operating system, hardware, drivers, etc
