Which ending do y'all think is happier? I didn't let the knight in on the specifics on my first go through just recently so we ended up on the egg timeline. I read the wiki for the quest and discovered that the knight takes on the curse if you let him know what's up. I had figured I'd be presented with another, more obvious oppurtunity to find another path or revisit the lady's decision, but nope. Not sure if I wanna leave things as is, so I'm curious as to which one comes off as the happier ending.

Believe shes happy in any ending you go with but he isn't. If she takes on the curse they get together.
Imo you say to her you wont tell anyone about her curse so thats the better path.

I chose to let her make her own decision which is the 7 years without the curse. You find Guillaume later on a drunk in one of Toussaint's squares but it is worth it for her imo.

I know that she's happy in both, but it's still kinda tricky. Move the curse onto her simp and he is happy too, granted there's a chance he'll turn into a bird. Let her choose and she may only live 7 years and Guillaume turns into a drunkard. At least that's what I hear.

I don't see myself being super married to either option. With y'all input I think I'll just stick with my initial choice. This isn't one of the quests where you can get a best result so no matter what I'll be second guessing things.

Vivienne has no interest in her simp and if you shift the curse to him, she'll get together with him out of guilt. that is a win for the simp faction I can't allow

as far as gameplay is concerned, choosing to keep your promise of not telling the guy counts as a prove of honor, whereas the alternative provides no benefit

I was aware of that last part already. Also a compelling reason to do it her way. Plus it's the route where you just keep your word which I hear is a generally cool guy move.

Does the game make it seem like she is guilt dating him? Cause in that case I totally will go with the egg every time. Even if it doesn't spell it out I'd have to wonder.

Actually, you're wrong. Vivienne clearly likes Guillaume. When he was injured while fighting the Shaelmaar, she was visibly concerned. Furthermore, if you decide to transfer the curse, Geralt mentions the ritual only works if there's true love between them.
