Can't get the Upgrade for Cat School Trousers
So before going into Skellige I've decited to finish up collecting upgrades for Cat School. When going for Trousers in Oxenfurt, I've noticed that grate leading there is still closed. That grate was suppose to be open after I done with Junior, but its still shut. Is that a bug, or I did something wrong or maybe one of the mods is screwing it over?
(I'm playing on GoG version of the game and everything is up to date)

I have seen in the past people having this problem, and it was related to some mods, I think Fast Travel from Anywhere was one of those mods, can't remember what others ones would cause the problem.

The grate leading to the house with Junior may or may not unlock, but it's not the only way to get to that part of the sewers. There's a house by where the blacksmith (not the armorer) works in Oxenfurt that has a trap door to the sewers. Then you'll need Witcher senses to find a loose brick or something that opens the hidden room with the diagram.

No other way. You have mods installed?

yeah, seen a couple of other people who had to disable their mods, and go back to a previous save in order to get it fixed because even though the mod was disabled, it still had an effect in their save, I know of one person who deleted the whole game directory, resinstalled the game, and then had to use a previous save before the Junior quest and it finally was opened for them. Mods have the potential to really screw up the game and/or saves.

Well since you are already using mods, you could problem use the debug console to spawn it into your inventory.
Winter_Jasra Mar 27, 2016 @ 12:07pm
Yeah just use the debug console, there's nothing else there except for the cat trousers anyway, no monsters to kill etc, so I wouldn't consider it cheating personally :)

Plus you can spawn the actual trousers or the just the diagram if you prefer, so you still need to get it made and paid for.

I tried every console command out there with ’lynx’, ’pants’ and schematic in it, nothing seems to work.
I have spawned the trousers itself though, but I want the schematic so I can finish that quest.

Any ideas anyone?lI’d really appreciate it.

Use the true autoloot mod and set the loot radius to very large, then u will be able to get them even with closed door.

Many thanks guys. The autoloot will be my last resort. Supercommunity here.

Solved the problem with both solutions:

1.) Enable Debug Console
add line to \Steam\SteamApps\common\The Witcher 3\bin\config\base\general.ini (without " ")
"DBGConsoleOn=true"
2.) Install Auto Loot Mod
3.) Load savegame where you're already at the blocked entrance where the trouser upgrade should be
4.) Open console with "~" (german keyboard "ö")
5.) additem('Witcher Lynx Pants Upgrade schematic 1') --> Careful, type it exactly like this (item, not Item for instance)
6.) If you successfully added the diagram check your crafting menu if the "Enhanced Feline Trousers" can be crafted. The quest isn't complete yet, that will be done in the next step.
7.) Options -> Mods -> AutoLoot. Configure the mod to force loot quest containers, set all radius settings you can find to max, enable TRUE autoloot. Exit the menu and start running around in the green area in front of the smith's place. You should autoloot the diagrams there. This is just for the quest to be complete.
8.) GREAT SUCCEEEESSSS

Just had the same problem. There's a much easier solution. Get the latest debug console mod, and use the free camera. There is an option to teleport Geralt to the position of the camera. Just use this to get past the cellar bars in the blacksmiths house and your done!

I diid exactly that!!!
