Does HDR make the game darker? bland?
I know it's up to your hardware as well. But I am curious to what others are experiencing.

Try to Change hdr setting using mod:

And find best option for ur monitor/tv

thanks guys i think the brightness was a little bit low so i adjusted the in game gamma

HDR is implemented pretty well in this game but they currently don't have control for brightness ingame (although they claimed its coming in a future patch).

If you have a good and bright hdr monitor you're going to have to go into your dx12user.settings files in your documents/witcher 3 folder and adjust HdrPaperWhite to something a bit higher (the value depends on your monitor peak brightness)

Yeahh I have my HDR displays calibrated (Windows HDR Calibration app) and just need to change gamma when I move from HDR monitor to HDR TV.

I didn't feel the need to get that mod that adds paper white or max nits settings.

By the way, for those running RT and HDR, do you all see bugged purple/pink windows, especially in Novigrad city? I wish I could narrow down the cause of this.
