I need a bit of help here...
This is my first playthrough. I just finished the quest where Uma transforms to elven form and got the quest where I have to talk to friends who could help defeat the hunt. Those are Zoltan, Roche, Dijkstra, Ermion, Crach, Cerys and Emhyr. Is it necessary to talk to them and get them on my side? If so, do any of them die during the fight? I need some details, spoilers are fine! Thanks in advance bros.

You can talk to them, but not all will help You - depending on Your choices so far.
If You get all help possible, You can get an achievement. If You want that, it is important to have a complete team.

SPOILER:
No, of the named ones nobody dies in the battle.
I personally never ask Zoltan to come to Kaer Morhen, though, because he brings a lot of explosive barrels with him... and they usually kill my Geralt much more effective than the Wild Hunt does. 😖 On the other hand he poses as armorer which could be useful.
