Sounds like you've got the Witcher ending. She doesn't sacrifice herself, Geralt's just lying to Emhyr to get him to stop looking for her.
I bet it's written that way on purpose, to trick players so that they can be relieved later.
Well... if you choose to treat her like a little girl, it cuts to one week later and she's really gone. Then you have the choice of pointlessly killing a few monsters, or not, before killing the Crone and accepting that she's really gone. Still takes a week though.
Btw, it's not entirely clear that she dies in this ending. She's just gone. Another fairly popular theory is that she didn't want to put up with Geralt's patronizing ass and just waltzes off into the multiverse to get the high score on Roach Race and spraypaint the walls of Night City.
Throughout my playthrough, I was concerned for her, but supportive, and not all-serious when it came to messing around. I knew what she was capable of. I am extremely pleased with the ending I got
Neither of those are solidly confirmed. Both of them being dead (Ciri dying while stopping the White Frost; Geralt getting overwhelmed by the horde of monsters after killing the Weavess) can still very well be true. Just because there's going to be a Witcher 4 doesn't mean anything.
