this advice will help you only at the initial stages of the game or in the case when you don't loot the boxes at all. there are too many food sources in the game, so the farm is not needed at all.
Not a Gourmet then? lol thats the only reason i buy the food, so i can stop in the middle of slaying summit and have a picnic, ya know cheese, wine, bread and pate, lol eating meat do's get kinda boring. an man have I got a lot of food, including ratatouille.
You can just keep running around in circles killing with igni. They somehow keep reswpaning. Once they don't reswpan just reload the area. You can farm a lot of meat in just 15 minutes doing that.
lol it's not really worth it after the update, they nerfed the consumables, quite badly, no point in the Gourmet skill any-more. All it do's is make each item last for 20 mins or so.
Youre always full on strongeralcohol if youre just lootin a little, so just drop some of the potions in when needed, meditate 1 hour and restore your stuff.
No drunk debuffs, way faster health restore than with regular food.
