Should I buy The Witcher 3?

Have you watched any lets plays, or read reviews. If you're still debating then No, it doesn't sound like your sort of game. We don't know what you like / don't like so how can we advice?

I would suggest you watch some lets plays, and then decide.

If you have money burning a hole and can't be arsed to watch some lets plays, then since it's currently 70% off. buy the game, and play 1 hr 59 mins of it, if you don't like it refund it.

seems like you've given a positive review for RDR2... so I'd say 'yes' you probably would like Witcher 3.

Game is super beautiful, you can see some of it in here (obviously it only shows some scenery you see when walking in game the videos do not show any gameplay):

(I did 600hdr video in dx 11 on 1440 resolution max graphics (the hdr water is great), as for without hdr it uses dx 12 max graphics with rt on quality , it was to show one mod but it still shows the scenery.)

Anyway watch the videos if game looks ugly to you then don't buy it , if it looks nice give it a consideration based on other aspects.

Yes you should. Hardly to find any other rpg that's even close to The Witcher's 3 content/story/quests/dialogues/characters, etc etc etc etc. And don't tell me "Skyrim has all of the above". Skyrim it's a turd of a game, and only reason that it's that popular, it's the mods. Even a Skyrim bundled with over 1000, not gonna reach TW3 content. Buy it, or you gonna regret it for your rest of your life.

Yes, it's worth it, it's a wonderful game! But for more immersion in the history and atmosphere it is better to buy everything the whole series

No, they ruined the optimisation completely with the bs forced rework update. You probably can't run it smoothly. I have a 3070, ryzen 5 5600x and 32gb of ddr4 and can barely crack a stable 60 fps in all areas on 1080p ffs

If someone has problems with new upgrade you can still play old version from steam beta branch. Steam library > Right click on Witcher 3 > Properties > Betas > Classic.

There are already problems with launching the old version - when you try to download it, the message "This game is not in your library" appears
