I do not advise you to use ray tracing in this game, it is not well implemented and there is only a slight graphical difference. Except in dark places you won't see at all, as they had the art of not thinking about Geralt's natural vision in the dark and thanks to the ray tracing you will be forced to use torches or Cat's potion to be able to see.

And yeah, it's a very low quality Ray Tracing, just look that clouds on the water, Minecraft has more smooth clouds: https://imgur.com/OchWjTA

Thank you! But isn't this the only change of the new Witcher version? Better graphics because of raytracing?

no , ray tracing is just extra the graphics values of medium next gen are higher than old gen modded ultra (and there are ultra , and ultra + in next gen...)

also a lot of 4k mods were added.

RT does not always look better , it depends on exact time in game and mostly water textures look better but I would advise you to use dx 11 and get 3 times the fps.

(make sure you have good gaming monitor or tv to see those changes or else everything would only look as far as your hardware allows. )

Thanks. I get about 125 FPS with ultra settings (no raytracing)...so I'll just use that without RT.

yep better that way. The RT is really not worth the performance it takes away. i find it better to run at over 100FPS on 1440p as clearer image than using RT and getting below 60fps at 1080p and everything looking blur af
