we don't have a choice if its already updated itself.
Just in case you don't know, on Steam you can rollback to 1.32, on GoG you can rolback to 4.03, 4.02 and so on.
If you open the game properties and select the Beta dropdown menu, you can revert back to 1.32 and go back to classic version.
like, when you are going don on a hill with Roach, its a** is still looking up to the sky in about 90°, which is kind of funny.
or, at the story part, when you have a fight with the baron, and their house is on fire, the graphics going down to PIXELS. now that is annoying. (this was going on high graphics settings, NOT maxed out, on "update" 4.04...)
and the biggest problem of all, that these so called updates disabled mods that were cool, and actually made the game even better.
so yeah, i agree on the updates are actually bad for this game, because its essence did not change at all, it still would be a great one to play with.
