The Witcher 3 disappearing from my library?

I own this game, but it is not in my library any more. I only have this one Steam account. Just checking if the mouse icon will appear beneath my name.

Update. The Witcher 3 is on sale now, so I re-bought it for less than 10 €. I'm fine with that.
Funny thing is, while I was able to purchase it, the following message came up:

Your purchase could not be completed because it looks like you already own one of the games you are trying to buy. Please check your account and your cart to verify you are buying an item you do not already own.

The price was decucted from my Steam balance, though. I am currently downloading the game. Something weird has been going on here, but I'm not going to try to get my 10 € back. For me it's not worth the effort.

I know, many of you will say that this "can't be" or "will not happen", but apparently it does happen.

Thanks again for your help. I got the game back, that's all I wanted.

No DVD, never bought on GOG.

It's not such a great financial loss. I will put it on my wishlist and when it's on sale the next time, I'll think about rebying it.

Where did you get it, if you bought it from a key reselling site, if the key you purchased was stolen steam may remove that key from your library.
I didnt read everything you said in teh comments, but this does happen sometimes. Its a reason why you should only buy from trustworthy 3rd party sites if you do buy from 3rd party sites.

But you also said your mouse disappeared, so that also sounds like a possible windows OS issue, or just a driver issue with the mouse, or even something wrong with your harddrive/ssd if both the mouse issue and game isnt showing up.

BUt to me, from what youre saying about the game not being in your library anymore, makes me think you got it from a 3rd party site, where non trust worthy sellers can sell keys.

Just contact steam, it doesnt take effort really. Just 3 minutes of work. Most of it is explaining it.

BUT also the game in total is 15 USD which about about the same in EU money. So maybe it is or was in your steam account, and it just deducted some money and purchased the DLC only. WHich if youre only buying teh base game, I recommend forking up the extra 5 bucks. Thats like 50+ hours of really good content from what I hear.
