Patch 4.01 Makes Game Unplayable

The game is now completely unplayable after installing patch 4.01. Getting severe stuttering when moving around and rotating the camera. The game freezes for like 0.2 seconds every few seconds on my RTX 4090 in 4k with Ultra+ and full RT. Didn't have these issues before...

same here, i got massive drop in performance from 65-70 fps on high settings to only 35 now.. something got messed up... 1080Ti on 3440x1440 :(

lets wait about one year might will work as should XD. its joke that i 1.32 had on uber aroun 120fps with smooth and here with turn off RT and around medium settings that looks more ugly than uber 1.32 i work so f bad. just joke

try turning off RT and play in DX11 version, and say how it goes

i play exacly as u said. cheak dx11 and game work pretty much same

I also have a 4090 and I'm experiencing this too. I had to turn down some Ultra+ settings to lessen the stutter.

I also have an issue when using DLSS3. There is always frame drops when exiting the menu/inventory and going back to the game. I can't remember if this was also happening in the previous patch because I stopped playing to wait for them to fix the constant crashing.

i dont have the best pc but rtx 2060 i5 10th and 16 ram its not that bad. i play uncharted 4. god of war. dl2 and games run that good that i expect atleast but this. its terrible

Same problem. After 4.01 I got fps drop from 90 to 30 without changing any settings.

JFYI: High settings, no RTX, TAAU in 3440x1440 with RTX 2060 Super

Astonishing! From locked 60fps to 40 in a single patch. Any way to revert this?

To people saying to switch to DX11, are you for real? The whole point of the next gen update is to have Ray Tracing etc. I did not get a RTX 4090 to play in DX11...

If you had Screen Space Reflections on High before, you may see a performance hit. Turn it down to Low. This is mentioned in the patch notes.

DX12 and RT were broken from the start. pointless to play in it anyway, lag fest
