Hearts of Stone expects me to be level 30. I am level 4

OK this is my first time through this game. I did the opening set of quests and then traveled for the meeting with the Emhyr. Did all that and now I've been told to travel somewhere else to start looking for Cirilla. So far so good.

But now the game suddenly tells me the following while welcoming me to "Hearts of Stone"

"Your currently tracked quest has been changed to the first quest of Hearts of Stone, yet we only recommend starting it if your character is at least level 30."

As I mentioned, I am level 4. What the heck happened here? Did I do something wrong?

Nope jus more general screwyness, lol BTW I'm fighting the frog price at level 4 Deathmarch, at 50 Dam per hit, gonna take a fair while so level restrictions don't mean much.... Completed of swords and dumplings by your level

Don't worry ! Just go into your quests page and select another quest.

well it's an expansion questline so that is to be expected imo

That is one of annoyances of the Witcher 3: once you complete current quest it would change to random primary quest. Once Blood and Wine is going to unlock for you "Envoys wineboys" is going to be added to that rotation... Just go to the quest list and manually select the one you actually want to complete.

For your first playthrough I would advise against picking any quests that have level requirement higher than 5 levels than yours.

OK great thanks. I thought I was about to get slaughtered. Nowt that I see the quests have recommended levels next to them, it's a lot clearer

You should prioritize side quests that are at or slightly above your level before main quests btw. Main quests give tons of XP and can overlevel you pretty fast.
