Can I somehow disable FCR3 and return old balance?
Is there any mod or something that could revert gameplay changes back?

I was surprised to realise that they just forced this mod into my game and gave me no choice

They give you a choice, you can revert back to pre newgen, BUT they do force the update onto you.
Personally I like the changes, Was kinda dumb to have to waste 5 points to get 1 thing to the max, And it makes it a little harder it seems which I love.
But at first I was turned off about the 3 points per, but then I found out you can only have like 12 abilities used, which the prior time I played 60 hours I never knew that lol.

But yea, there should be and option when you right click the game, go to properties then go to beta, then select 1.32, kinda dumb they forced the update to everyone instead of giving you a choice on what to pick right away, or even have that int he launchers launch options.

Careful, last I tried, the Beta 1.32 had mod support removed, a proper BS move from the devs... no idea if they've fixed that yet, or rather, realized how dumb that decision was...

That was never a thing. Lots of people have returned to 1.32 for mods, you're the only one I've seen saying that mods don't work there.

Yes it was.

I tried the Beta 1.32 on the release day of 4.00 due to the horribad state, and none of the mods I had for Legacy 1.32 worked with Beta 1.32.

As I said, might be they fixed it in the meantime, haven't tried it since, but at least early days that was the case.

Let me rephrase: you may have personally experienced that issue, but the devs didn't disable modding support for 1.32 - that was never a thing.
