LMFAO ah my bad. I don't think they did it specifically to censor, I just read that it had to do with the way the cutscenes are rendered with their graphics update. Or something. It was on reddit so take it with a grain of salt, there's already one poster that said it was fake.

Plus if they REALLY wanted to censor the game, that was probably one of the least spicey of the spicey scenes.

They removed just those scenes that could not pass Chinese censorship and at the same time added this language to the game. This patch is one big joke.

Are you sure it's fake news? Because apparently cutscenes were prerendered but there is a mod to make them in realtime on the original game. The remaster use that mod (with author approval I guess) but that mod is indeed not working with some cut scenes (because they don't render correctly) and op was saying Cdpr didn't bother to correct these scenes, so are not there, no censorship, just lazyness, but maybe it's bs:

Yep, well known issue, now wolf-chase is upscaled pre-render and sex scene is real-time.
