any overlay that needs to hook the dx12 api is being blocked by the game, seems to be the dx11 to 12 wrapper doing it.
can cause the potential for the game to fail if it needs to make a dx11 call though. obviously like anything else with a PC, modify at your own risk.
delete file d3d11on12.dll
If so, go into GeForce Experience and ensure the overlay is on.
Hit Alt + R to pull open their default frame counter in the top left corner.
Doesn't show? Hit Alt + Z and configure your settings to allow a frame box in the top left corner. This is the less intrusive of the overlays and I can confirm after 6 hours of playtime has not effected performance.
As for RTSS in other games, try setting RTSS to low detection and steath mode to see if that helps at all.
Used to have problems with it in Control in DX12 myself, but I can't remember what setting in RTSS i changed that allowed it to hook properly as it's been a few years now.
I could not find it dude. It works with DX11
Sorry, wasnt really an attack or anything. just been a recurring theme asking about it.
fwiw i've been happy to sit here and just tell users 'well, this may fix it, but at the expense of possibly breaking something else important in game' since last night regarding it.
what screen do you use?
