In the meantime I'll keep checking the nexus for a relevant mod, I agree, a larger FoV will look so much better!
I know someone with the know-how will come through for us eventually
There is a new camera setting in the update.
Did you even read the original post damnit ... facepalm*
My point exactly, as previously stated, heres hoping that we get a mod asap
Creator of Absolute Camera said he will do upgrade... i hope he is ASAP to get it work (my Personal Hero)
Not yet tested! But i will Try it
Just tested, it's fine for the 'default' camera setting
Has no effect on the 'Close' setting
I have asked kindly if the mod creator can update this, but also if we are able to ajust the camera distance from Geralt in the 'Close' setting also
The 'Close' setting is what I want, with a wider FoV and be able to adjust the camera distance too, ideally
With it being labelled as Next Gen Update, I expected more dynamic camera settings as oppose to this extremely limited Close/Default rubbish with no FoV adjustment
yep tested it too... and finally i was playing 4 hrs now! im happy with the 70 FoV and yeah... the Close Camera is in my Opinion totally Failed... 1vs1 is fine, but in a Horde of Ghouls its just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up hard to Dodge / Parry - not my kind of playstyle... but i hope for you he will Add something for you :)
but im tracking 3-4 Camera Mods, so if i got an update, i let you know ^^
btw. sorry for my Awful English its hard rusted in the rain ^^
What an excellent contribution to the thread...
Now, regarding the FOV, yea I agree it's imperative (for some of us) to have the ability to increase the viewing area. I've been using the Absolute Camera mod for the classic game and my settings were almost the same as the NEW official alternate camera in the Complete edition.
I am both thrilled and disappointed that - despite how immersive and awesome the closer camera looks - almost mimicking the camera from Witcher 1 - the FOV is terrible.
The combat is fine if you can get used with it. It's more... immersive and... 'realistic': you need to be aware of your enemies and keep them always in front - you know... just like i'd be in real life.
