No FoV Slider?
Before anyone dives straight in on this, I am fully aware of the camera options, options being a bit ridiculous as there are simply 2; Default & Close. These don't fix the FoV issue.

I'm playing at 3440 x 1440, so I can speak for this resolution specifically, the FoV just doesn't sit right with me, I like the position of Geralt in the 'close' camera setting, however the FoV needs to be adjusted, I'd like to fine tune the camera distance and adjust FoV for the worldspace

The fact this is literally labelled as a 'Next-Gen' update but lacks such a staple setting in Pc gaming these days is an oversight I can only attribute to a lack of attention to detail.

yeah most of games in 3rd person lack FOV settings, its a shame . This game would probably look Godlike with a 110 FOV .

In the meantime I'll keep checking the nexus for a relevant mod, I agree, a larger FoV will look so much better!

Spent the best part of the entire day editing different values etc, no luck at all with the FoV, or any luck even with the camera adjustment values.

I know someone with the know-how will come through for us eventually

Witcher 3 has never had an FOV slider.

There is a new camera setting in the update.

Actually the game needs a fov slider now more than ever, because the new camera has an even narrower fov.

Just tested, it's fine for the 'default' camera setting

Has no effect on the 'Close' setting

I have asked kindly if the mod creator can update this, but also if we are able to ajust the camera distance from Geralt in the 'Close' setting also

The 'Close' setting is what I want, with a wider FoV and be able to adjust the camera distance too, ideally

I turned off the new camera settings. It's nonsense. I want to see more of my game, not less of it - especially during combat.

With it being labelled as Next Gen Update, I expected more dynamic camera settings as oppose to this extremely limited Close/Default rubbish with no FoV adjustment

yep tested it too... and finally i was playing 4 hrs now! im happy with the 70 FoV and yeah... the Close Camera is in my Opinion totally Failed... 1vs1 is fine, but in a Horde of Ghouls its just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up hard to Dodge / Parry - not my kind of playstyle... but i hope for you he will Add something for you :)

but im tracking 3-4 Camera Mods, so if i got an update, i let you know ^^

btw. sorry for my Awful English its hard rusted in the rain ^^

What an excellent contribution to the thread... :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

Now, regarding the FOV, yea I agree it's imperative (for some of us) to have the ability to increase the viewing area. I've been using the Absolute Camera mod for the classic game and my settings were almost the same as the NEW official alternate camera in the Complete edition.

I am both thrilled and disappointed that - despite how immersive and awesome the closer camera looks - almost mimicking the camera from Witcher 1 - the FOV is terrible.

The combat is fine if you can get used with it. It's more... immersive and... 'realistic': you need to be aware of your enemies and keep them always in front - you know... just like i'd be in real life.
