Yep its awfull. Turn off RT and change "sharpness" to high (which i did) and you pretty much get the old game back. F´ck RT it looks awfull in this game and kills FPS.

Kinda getting tired of RT, it looks amazing but it seems that developers struggle to know how to implement it correctly or utilize it's tech. Seems more of a hassle then it's worth.

i agree, dx12 implementation in joke, even i realize they deleted hbao +... honestly i dont know why they not add just new separate version. OLD ONE WAS BRILLIANT

So yeah, I've spent like 30 minutes switching RT on and off, playing with the settings and the difference is so subtle that it's hardly worth the massive FPS drop. It doesn't look "better", it looks "different" with RT on and the lightning doesn't wow me. It cuts FPS by half for me, it's totally not worth it. It is also blurry, yup. DLSS is pointless too. I'm still trying to find satisfying settings but RT is definitely getting turned off. Useless technology at this point. I'm playing something else at the moment, I just jumped on this Witcher 3 update due to all the hype, but it's not worth it. I'll come back to it couple of months, I want to do another playthrough with the new content but I'll be playing without RT for sure. Portal RTX is a total fiasco too. I have an RTX3080 and I'll be skipping two generations of cards and most modern games due to Nvidia shenanigans and lies, RT is not ready, even RTX4090 owners will be massively disappointed when new RT games come out next year. Older, non-RT games run fine for me and RT needs few more years before it starts to make any sense.

is what you get when you turn everything on Ultra +
Looks awfull. Turn of RT and turn up sharpness and you will have a better looking game.
+ you will get 100 FPS more ;)

This was my first impression too. I startet the game turned everything on ultra+ and had a WTF moment. I instantly checked if the game has lowered my resolution 640x480 :)
