Game does not start - had mods installed
Okay does not start anymore. I had some mods installed - of course. Probably this is the reason. Anyone else having those issues. I am not really in the mood to deinstall everything and clean the folder of any mods. Probably have to do it...

I don't think you can run it with mods. All the ones i used are broken by now. Either switch to the beta branch in settings and play with your old mods (but do a safety backup before, if steam overwrites some files), or remove all mods for the new version.

Finding your mods folder and deleting them is hardly a log winded affair or bothersome.

Seems pretty "bothersome" to me to lose all the functionality and utility...

did it, but no my save game is useless, since mods like weight increase etc are not there anymore, prefer not to play then ;)

Had the same issue, solved by uninstalling, deleting game folders, and reinstalling (use Steam's "verifiy files" function once all is done, just to be sure) . Merely removing files from the "mods" directory wasn't enough. Now all runs well, but some saves crash the game when loaded, supposedly because they were created with incompatible mods which could have altered the world in some unorthodox (from the point of view of this new release) way.
Performance is decent, visuals great.

Just one strange issue: I'm I the only one who thinks that Geralt's representation in the Inventory and Stats menu looks oddly "grainy"?

All I had to do was delete my mods folder and the mods inside it lol

Mods need to be updated as it's on the newer version of the RedEngine, likely what they used for Cyberpunk.

They've confirmed what currently works, but some things won't as it currently is.

Uninstall and delete the folder. Then reinstall the game.

No way on earth I am giving up my mods, some of them I consider way too necessary to enjoy the game, so I reverted back to the classic version and my mods work like they always did.

If you want to play with (old) mods, Steam settings for Witcher 3 has "classic" beta branch. Choosing that will change the game into pre next gen version. Just tested and all my mods and the game were working fine. The bad part is that you don't get the next gen updates ofc.

What are your essential mods?
