No voice sound after updating to 4.0
after updating I have sound effects and music but no voice sound. I've seen people say its an issue where 5.1 or 7.1 audio needs to be changed to stereo, but the trick is my laptop speakers are already set to stereo. What else can I do?

I have succesfully resolved that issue: simply removed my game (also with it's catalogue in the Documents folder) and downloaded it back again, into the same place. Savegames were downloaded from cloud, now it sounds good to me. Repairing game files or making changes in audio options did literaly nothing before plain reinstall.

try chaning the audio settings in-game, mine switched to home teather, I fixed it by setting it to 3d headset

Nothing is fix on my end, still experiencing the same issue, no sound.

I also have the same issue. Definitely result of latest patch.
Audio is fine if I downgrade to previous version.
Nothing I have tried has worked

I did not have voice audio before the update and hoped for the update to fix it. No fix yet and it really messes up the experience :(

I tried this too, in hopes that would fix it, but it does not. This is 100% a result of the 4.0 Update, as it worked fine before.

Have you checked the ingame sound options?
Mine got changed completely with the update.

Same problem here. Lots of sound, but no voice. I changed to a different language, different sound settings in game, nothing fixes the missing voice output. So I quit the game until there is a solution...

I can't change audio to Spanish. Right-clicking the games properties and selecting desired lang won't download the needed files.

No main menu sound or ingame sound fx except for using signs and wicher senses.

Lol, yes of course we have. I know you are trying to help so I am not trying to mock you or anything, but yes... we (or at the very least I) have tried any logical steps on my own within the game, the PC audio settings and anything else I could find online.

This is a 4.0 issue affecting some people.

I'll give this a try, nothing else seems to work
