Make sure you cleaned out any old mods as most old mods need to be updated and cause issues otherwise.
Ideally, you make a fresh install and while doing so remove documents/Witcher 3 directory aswell (after backing up your savegames from that directory).
And the usuals ofc, making sure drivers are up to date ec.
...\steam\steamapps\common\the witcher 3\bin\x64\witcher3.exe
sometimes an error msg appears not hidden by steam (missing library, AV popup, etc)
check windows event viewer AND windows reliability history. any error msg would help
and if you have reinstalled and verified game files, why isnt the redprelauncher.exe in folder
..\steam\steamapps\common\the witcher 3
your antivirus deleting files?
make a shortcut to the witcher3.exe. then drag/drop to desktop and launch from the shortcut
op wanted the game to work. it works starting the game from the game .exe. you wantsteam and the launcher with all its overlays to work. perhaps start a new thread
