Anybody having issues teleporting to Velen
I'm at the story quest where I first teleport to Velen No Mans Land. Every time I fast travel the game crashes during the loading screen/narration. I've waited through two patches, verified the game cache like 3 times, set it to the lowest settings with disabled ray tracing & running DX11 and it still crashes. I have a 3090 and ran the game maxed fine up until this point.

I am experiencing the same. This is right after going to Vizima with Jennifer right? I am afraid we might me stuck or what? I'm looking for a solution. Tried to teleport somewhere else?

Yep! That's the one. I can teleport basically anywhere else that I've tried (not many options that early in the game). It's only when I try Velen. If you manage to find a solution plz lemme know !

Try reinstalling the game. I reinstalled it on my SSD and it loads into velen. It's laggy as ♥♥♥♥ though

This may be stupid, but maybe if you travel to White Orchard, and then try Velen from there. It probably won't make a difference, but it's something to try.

I gave this a try a few days ago! Unfortunately I had no luck despite teleporting from different locations (I initially thought that particular post sign was bugged). I completely uninstalled the game and then reinstalled it on my SSD. Afterwards, Velen loaded up without crashing. Initially, it was getting like 1-2 FPS and extremely buggy. I restarted the game and it loaded in perfectly with no issues and is running maxed settings now.

Interesting. I tried teleporting to white orchard first but still, the problem persisted. I validaded my game files, it actually downloaded 2 files, went ahead and tried again, still crashing.

I loaded an older save before talking to the king, nope, still crashing. I heard that maybe the save is toast, if that is the case then bye bye Witcher, I can't be bothered to start again. I even tried console commands to go there, still crashing.

Unfortunately I have a small SSD and I can't try that without uninstalling other games.

I agree. I already uninstalled actually. Remember the days when you could just buy a game, turn it on, and play it?

Uninstalled the game completely? Ah yes, unfortunately now everything is about money. As long as people buy broken products, companies will happily sell you said broken products for a steep price, and laugh while doing it.

Yes. It was when games were a few MB at best, not several GB, and didn't have nearly the same quality they have now (the good ones, anyway).

I ran into this issue - turns out that the lighting mod I had installed was the cause - I uninstalled the mod and game no longer crashed.

you have to delete everything in your mod folder

I don't have any mods installed - just core game files.

Ahh yes, the great sorceress Jennifer of Jensenberg

I fixed it here. It's the pre installed mod called "Turbolighting". Just go to the folder where the game is installed, then to mods folder and remove this "modTurbolighting" folder from there.
