Autoheal overtime?
Is there any skill or something that can heal me overtime passively when i am out of combat? Or i need to eat foor always after each fight? I have higher difficulty so meditation does not heal me. Also there is skill called Sun and Stars that heal 10 hp per second out of combat.. but that is only addition if i drink or eat something right?

You heal something like 1 point per second by default. Sun and Stars increases that to 10 but only during the day.

You can use a mod that allows food, potions and other buffs to continue working while you meditate, instead of being removed if you rest for 1 hour.

Under the general skills you will find a skill called Gourmet. That will allow food to last for 20 minutes, providing healing in and out of combat. The skill has been nerfed with the new update but it is still worth picking up, especially if you combine it with a Swallow potion during combat early on for some heal.

Resting cancels it because cherry picked "realism only when annoying, never when useful" because meditating makes an hour pass.

If you ask yourself "Wait, isn't 20 minutes realtime longer than an hour of in game clock time?" congratulations, you have more self awareness than people trying to justify UI spam inconvenience as depth.

Granted, I have literally seen games where fruit that makes you puke blood before it can fill your hunger meter was nerfed due to people crying "But it grows on tree! no have to craft it! so casual!". People love the idea that subscription MMO button rotations are somehow oldschool survival.

Also, just in case. gourmet only works when slotted into a skill slot anyways. It reads like it should be a passive unlock, but it isn't. That UI is very awkward anyways. Like how the main categories are arranged to give the impression you need to spend points in a single column visually when you just need to slop down points wherever in a category and it counts.

Ah that is the case then! I never picked any of that "passives" to my skill tree i trought that it was automatically active as you say. That is kinda shame.. these skills in that tree are good quality of life perks but they are not even close worth to pick them to skill tree.. thanks anyway

If passive skills worked without needing to be equipped in the slots, then this game would be ridiculously easy. Having such limited slots to equip skills is what make the Witcher so difficult.
Yeah to everybody taste man. I am playing death march and i found mod that do exactly what i need - it makes all skills in general tab active when you learn them without equip them. Other skills are still must active in your own skill tree. Its singleplayer game and i am happy that i can edit my experience to my likeness :)

I’m playing on death march also, and and would kill to have more skill slots, but using a mod is seriously cheating. Where’s your Witcher honor 🤣
I am not planning to use all general skills to have free skills as cheat, i just want that one that restore more HP out of combat from 10 hp/s to 20 hp/s because i am annoyed to spam food after every battle :D

You can add it to your armor and there are potions that accelerate healing
These are all the vitality regeneration effects I know of in the game:

1). The Ekhidna Decoction Restores 10% of Max HP Whenever you perform an action
that consumes stamina.

2). The Ekimmara Decoction grants health whenever you deal damage to an enemy.

3). The Undying Skill in the Combat tree restores your vitality upon reaching zero if you
have Adrenaline points.

4). Alternate Sign Mode Quen Heals you when hit, this got significantly nerfed with the
Next Gen Patch so I am not sure what the new numbers look like.

5). The Replenishment Skill in the Alchemy Skill Tree makes all potions heal 5% max HP.

6). Superior Golden Oriole Turns Enemy Poison into healing, this does not effect toxicity
though.

7). Superior Full Moon Restores Health Based on Current Toxicity.

8). All 3 versions of Swallow Regenerate Vitality, this is the most accessible source of
healing outside of food

9). All 3 versions of White Raffard's Decoction Restore a chunk of Vitality.

10). The Caretaker's Spade is a Steel Sword Slot weapon that restores 10% of Damage
dealt as vitality.

11). All 3 Versions of the Glyph of Mending Restore Vitality per second.

12). The Dumplings Runeword doubles the effectiveness of food vitality restoration

Already Mentioned but in an effort to complete list:

13). The Gourmet Perk Allows for food to restore additional HP, I believe its exact
mechanics changed with the next gen Update so don't trust the wikis quite yet.

14). The Sun and Stares Perk Grants additional Health Regeneration during the day.
