Do you think there will ever be a Witcher Series MMORPG?
You could be trained in the school of the Wolf, Snake, Cat, Griffin or Bear.

Don't want to be a Witcher?

Be a mage and join the Brotherhood of Sorcerers or the Lodge of Sorceresses.

Mage not for you?

Be a dwarf or an elf (Sociotel).

Still don't think that's good enough for you?

How about being part of the dragon clan like Saskia? <----- This is the most exciting part for me.

If it's set in the witcher world, fine.

But I sure hope it won't be like SWTOR and there are more witchers (jedis) than normal people.

Well. Everyone wants to be a Witcher. You have to give them a cooler or equally cool alternative . Being a Dragon could possibly top that.

There is definitely going to be more of The Witcher. Just not Geralt. So it's possible.

Hell no. Do not turn CDPR into another Bethesda, please.

Oh.... What do you mean? Could you elaborate?

I really wish it won't. Look at Bethesda and Elder Scrolls Online. It doesn't feel anything like a TES game at all. And beside, CDPR don't have such "flexible" lore with the Witcher universe like Bethesda did with The Elder Scrolls and any attempt to create a MMORPG in the Witcher universe would break the it in one way or another.
Hopefully when they decide to return to The Witcher series they will continue to make awesome story heavy games with deep characters and dark atmosphere, like they did with until now

I see. Thanks, Ozone. I am assuming that you think the Bethesda Elder Scrolls Series suck really bad?

God I hope not. This is not a cookie-cutter RPG. It's a specific character-driven story with a set personality. You cannot choose to be anything other than a witcher because then you would be playing some other game. THIS IS NOT SKYRIM.

I am glad of one thing though. I know almost for a certainty that this will never come to pass. Why? Because the folks at CDPR have had enough of the witcher universe, having spent the last 14 years immersed in it. So at least for the next 10 years or so, a new witcher game will not even enter their minds, let alone the nightmare of trying to do an online RPG or any sort.

So, no.

The end? Are you sure? They've just released another DLC and Andrzej Sapkowski, the author of the Witcher Series is still alive. If you stop now, it'd be kind of a waste.

I love The Elder Scrolls a lot actually. That's why i said ESO was a mess, because it doesn't feel like it belongs in the series. I would have been much happier if they dedicated the time and resources they put in ESO to make a "real" Elder Scrolls game.
Hopefully CDPR don't go the same road

It wasn't Bethesda that made that MMO anyways, it was a new developing group that the parent company, Zenimax, created to make that MMO. Bethesda Softwords was basically working on Skyrim stuff and Fallout 4 while that Zenimax developer was making the MMO. I doubt you would have wanted the guys who made that MMO to make an Elder Scrolls single player game.

Makes sense, but i doubt this would be the case with cdpr. And even if ESO wasn't made by them it was considered the next major release in the series anyway, pushing TES VI back even more...
Or it could be that i'm completly wrong

I would just like a Witcher game with some multiplayer that is sort of outside of the box. The occasional encounter with a fellow witcher, or a nice co-op mode of sorts. MMO's seem to always be too closely associated with WoW which is fair since that has been the standard for ages, but most games that go MMO try to force their ideas into this template that doesn't always fit well with the source material. Elder scrolls is a prime example of this.
