Why did Geralt refuse aid from Nilfguard king?
Why did Geralt refuse aid from Nilfguard king? I cannot understand this? What was he worried about would happen to Ciri?

Geralt is known for unpredictable stupidity. I think that was one of its manifestations.
However, he could think at that moment about things like:
- he doesn't like to take orders from anyone;
- Morvran could order to take Ciri after the battle (or during it, or even before the battle starts);
- Morvran could order to rebuild Kaer Morhen in Nilfgaardian needs;
- Morvran could order to take secrets of the school;
- Morvran is a prick.

I asked this myself.

At least he could own a written document that all Nilfgaardian soldiers, nobles or merchants had to aid Geralt by ressources, shelter or menpower when he demands it. It would have saved him much trouble.

Yep, Geralt is tbh stupid.
Because, he doesn't want king to meet Ciri.
That's my point actually, and that's why I didn't even bother to go to he king for his aid at all.

Emhyr is a ♥♥♥♥ and Morvan is a prick. It's just that simple.

Seriously though, if you read the novel series (which i highly recommend), you will know that Ciri has been through all kinds of hell. She was hunted by the Wild Hunt because of her blood. the Lodge of Socceres wanted to use her for her ability and blood rights. Emhyr wanted her to be found by any means which indirectly caused the death of the Rats, the scar on her face, and the life, though short, of a slave. Even Yennefer and Triss, even though her allies, still wanted to decide her life and use her. Yennefer wanted Ciri to be a high class lady which Ciri absolutely hates. Triss was playing the role of the big sister to Ciri in order to suck up to Geralt and crawl in to bed with him.

Geralt, on the other hand, is the only one who understands Ciri. He is the one that is bounded to her by destiny. Geralt knew what Ciri has been through and made it his mission to protect her freedom. Back to your question of why Geralt refuses Emhyr's offer. If Geralt took the offer then Emhyr would certainly order Morvan to bring back Ciri by force if it came down to that. Bloodshed would bound to happen and that just violates Geralt's mission to protect Ciri's freedom.

Based on the events of what happened in the books, that's why i think Geralt refuses Emhyr's help. In the game though, you still can make choices regard on what would happen to Ciri so yeah :<

Emhyr wanted to bang his own daughter. And Morvan is a schemer and also see Ciri as a potential spouse. Active involvement of Nifgaardian military will only play in their hands.
