Is the "Rugged" saddlebag with 70 capacity the biggest?
I've read there's a 100 capacity one for sale in Putrid Grove, but I checked all merchants I've encountered there so far, and none have such a thing. Do I need to finish Tress' quest first (Pyres of Novigrad)?

I'm kinda getting burnt out on constantly selling stuff to stay under 130.

Like I said, I'm looking for the 100 rated one in Putrid Grove, because I still have tons to do in Velen before I traipse off to Skellige.

Confirms what I read, thanks Bee. I think I found a video that shows the exact shop spot too, it's to the left after going through the password door. I'm content to just buy it vs win it though. Already won the Superior Racing Saddle, which saved me some coin, and I now have over 11,000 Crowns after doing a lot of scavenging, and hardly any buying. Plus I want it now, getting tired of selling things after getting overloaded.

I have already the 50 stamina racing saddle, but I assumed it was best since it's rated "Superior". I only have 40 rated blinders, and 70 rated saddlebags though, and I've read 100 is max on saddlebags.

I'll eventually get better blinders and saddle too. For now he's pretty good on stamina and fear, for what I use him for. I don't generally use Roach in combat. Would be cool if there was light armor for Roach.

Thanks again.

I went to skellige at lvl 13. no regrets. Gwent comes above all. Even did the gemeni druids lvl 18sh quest that was fun dodging foglets and sneaking by a giant beast to brew alcohol.
I dont see any reason to avoid Skellig, can even buy fast travel waypoints.

100 is the max unless you do Blood & Wine. The Undvik set from Skellige weighs the least itself so give more weight free to use.

Bigger saddlebags in Blood & Wine? Finally! Been stuck with 100 for a long time.

Don't get too excited, you don't get much more.

Good to know, but I find it odd a mere difference in saddle weight means more inventory space, when you can race with a full load and big trophy hanging off your horse with no affect on stamina or speed whatsoever.

I decided after seeing the 1000 crown price on the 100 rated saddle in Putrid Grove last night that I'll finish up the quest I'm on there, then go to Skellige to enter the races to win one.

I wanted to finish up things in Velen first, but I'm encountering a lot of undiscovered locations with monsters that have too high a rating for me, and have already been to Novigrad anyway, so.

BTW, thanks to all for your input.

Even odder is heavy plate armour for a horse weighing the same as a light stock saddle and giving the horse greater stamina...

Go to nexusmods.com
and use the mod that gives u unlimited inventory space, in a huge game like this where u can explore for 20 hours, you dont need limited inventory.

You can get armor for Roach? I did a search for horse upgrades and the wiki I found had no mention of armor.
