How to rather easily kill the Djinn on Death March difficulty [Witcher 3]

Key fact: Use the Archgriffin Decoction and you will reap 5% of the Djinn's HP with every single strong attack.

Yes, this is possibly one of the most pointless battles in video game history. Yes, on Death March the Djinn has ridiculous amounts of HP and probably onehits you. But do drink the Archgriffin Decoction, and if available, take the Rage Mangement talent ("GENERAL" tree). Cast Quen, spam Dodge (not Roll, Dodge) hit him with three heavy attacks, Dodge back, then forth (two Dodges), then hit him again. If he hits you, keep spamming Dodge until you can cast Quen. Yes this guy will shoot lightning through walls. Get ready for some frustration. But with this tactic, you won't waste too much of your time.

Or turn level scaling off....level scaling is broken on that fight.

Interesting point, didn't think that level scaling would influence it. Only time I had to turn it off was during the quest with the rats in the sewer.

Its kinda like the rats thing.

Yep, it's bugged from level scaling. Same will happen on lower difficulties. lol
Fought it a couple times like that until it occured to me that it was the same problem as the rats.

was stuck on this for ages, on death march difficulty, turned off enemy upscaling, was then really easy, it is definetly bugged with enemy upscaling on, real shame feels like im doing wrong by turning it off

Yeah I totally get it. Remember the rats in the sewer? Same thing basically.

Yeah it was exactly like that, got swarmed by hundreds of high level rats with no power to do anything
