"A Miraculous guide to Gwent"
For those of you who have not read the 1.20 patch notes that is a book, that can be purchased in Novigrad, from the merchant near Gregory Bridge, that tells you how many cards you're missing. For me the list is : Velen - 3, White Orchard - 3

Exceept, this is almost useless as it is. I have no idea which cards these are, and if I can even obtain them - which I probably can't unless there's some special new merchant around

Thats what i thought i can't get the book because of this -> http://forums.cdprojektred.com/threads/44289-BUG-Of-Dairy-And-Darkness <- which is present for me since Patch 1.05 ...
Ahh i have all cards from base game but it is quite useful if you want to get that achievement as i remember that i ran through every merchant in Skellige, Novigrad etc but it was worth it. :Geralt:

They also added a Quest Failed flag if you miss one that can't be obtained after a certain point. So if the quest is still active on yours it's still possible to get the cards. Although it seems vague and may be tough to find them.
The 3 cards you are missing in White Orchard are unobtainable for you, after you leave for Velen the first time, since you had to buy them from the barkeeper, who then banished you from her tavern.

The innkeeper's cards can be bought from the merchant near the bridge in White Orchard.

Just the base game. All the Skellige cards have quest waypoints.

The innkeeper's cards can be bought from the merchant near the bridge in White Orchard.

I returned a few days ago to White Orchard, bought all the cards the merchant near the bridge has - at least I assume that's the one merchant, since he has that icon on the map, and there are no other such icons on this map - and I am STILL missing one card in white orchard. What the hell >.>

Check Hanged Man's Tree in Velen. There might be a card there for you that counts as a White Orchard card.
White Orchard cards

Blue Stripes Commando (1 of 3)
Catapult (1 of 2)
Crinfrid Reavers Dragon Hunter (1 of 3)
Foltest Lord Commander of the North
Decoy (1 of 3)
Zoltan Chivay

Look if you have them, and look also that you habe the amount of some of the cards.

It could also be a bug like the one i have. So if you don't bought the card in the prologue and your save is older the Patch 1.05 you can't obtain the card. Patch 1.05 made the card buyable from the merchant.

If you don't have the card and you can' buy it write a ticket to CDPR here http://en.cdprojektred.com/contact-support/ and follow this http://en.cdprojektred.com/support/bug-reporting-guide to report your bug. Make sure you send a savegame with the ticket.

And only for the recor a savegame from the witcher games needs the picture to work so you need the .sav and .png from the same savegame.

Finally got the achievement thanks to the book, online guides, and some memorization. Just need to visit Merchant/Smith/Armorer in the area that you rarely go and see if the dialogue lines are greyed out yet. Its not easy, but when the Achievement thing pop out....

2 cards in velen according to the book: are has a wierd requirement, go to the bandit camp southeast of claywich its on a island(ish) area and free the person in distress, he will open shop in claywiich and sell you some cards, he also as a gwent play optioon which counts toward the "non-renown" - Enjoy
