B&W - Is your companion meant to die in the arena?!
I have tried to beat this creature five times now and I have re-loaded my checkpoint each time because of ridiculously stupid the a.i. is.

Baron Palmerin doesn't contribute to the battle at all really - gets a few useless swipes in here and there. When the stony creature digs itself into the ground and spins around, shooting rocks and debris in all directions, the Baron just stands there and takes it - usually gets killed if he's close enough.

I've seen him go from a full health bar and when he refuses to back away from that particular attack, he instantly loses all of his health and dies. So, have any of you managed to save this numbskull?

Or is this a scripted thing? It's so frustrating and idiotic I think it must be a part of the story.

It's an option yes - it is possible the finish the fight with him still standing or in unconscious mode. (he is not dying ;>)

Good to know, thank you. So annoyed at the game when the enemy health bar is but a slither and then Palmerin runs in to get himself killed and so I have to load up the checkpoint yet again.

I wanted to put a few hours into the DLC before work but this crap has put me off of it today. I will try again tomorrow.

Hello, thanks but my topic is regarding the companion you have in the arena. I'm fine with the monster but the a.i. of the baron who accompanies you is driving me up the wall when he gets himself killed - please read above ^

Thanks for the tips though ;)
