Do you turn enemy upscaling on or off?
After having it turned on for a while, I chose to turn it back off. Yes, the game is too easy after level 13 or so (even on death march) but from a role playing perspective I kind of like the idea of low level monsters becoming easier to kill. It only makes sense since I am becoming stronger.
Moreover, making low level enemies harder does not make a lot of sense to me from a gaming perspective either, since the rewards do not scale with it.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the option. I just chose it isn't for me and I'd like to know what you did with it? :)

idk but i like to own the game i come to the forums about before talking about it

but i leave that option in the permament "on" posistion, nothing ruins the fun more than skipping 80% of the fights because you have no challenge

It's a good option to have. While some might not be turned off by easy wins, others will be - this makes it fun for both types of players.

I fall somewhere in between - I don't want my lore broken by a wolf that can best Geralt. That just doesn't make sense.

Off for early game. Uselles mode because no bonus for player.

I would probably leave it off at first.

I honestly love this option because I finished the base game + Heart Of Stone expansion and this helps alot because I am on level 41 so I liked it even though it doesn't change the experience gain, loot stuff etc

I'm only level 17 and I've turned this option on, permanently. Great new feature! Love the constant challenge.

I turned it on because I was sick of fights being me just 1 to 3 shotting everything in the main large area of Velen and Novigrad. It just wasn't fun.

You realize you can get the game off gog too right? I don't know why you're being a ♥♥♥♥ when you're the one who came to the forums not knowing what they're talking about.

For the people who choose to turn it on, like i did in the new expansion, be aware that sometimes a group of enemies will consist of lvl 1-2s and lvl 50s(or whatever is appropriate for your characters level). So its no working fully as intended.

Yeah, how dare anyone directly support the developer by buying it directly through them rather than through middlemen like Steam.

Good grief.

From a role-playing perspective, turning it on seems more logical. A century old witcher is not getting better and learning new things everyday tremendously. It's just we're slowly unlocking them for the sake of gameplay balance. And there shouldn't be much resistance/damage difference between a low level and a high level bandit even if they have quite different gear.

Welcome to the downside of most of the internet. Psuedo-snarky remarks are how most people say "hello" in forums/comments.
Sorry to bump an old topic but it was the first one on google. Just started playing again to experience the 2 expansions I missed. So this option just scales enemies for the challenge but no increase in exp gained or higher level loot pool?

Just because he doesn't have the game on Steam doesn't mean he doesnt have it on another platform you massive elitist douchebag. I realize other people have already called you out for what an asinine jerk you are, but honestly, when you are this much of a cockhole to someone just asking for help, you deserve to be called out again.

Yeah, thats correct. It scales the enemies without increasing the amount of XP or loot. I wouldn't worry though as most of your XP will be gained from completing quests as opposed to fighting critters and loot is plentiful anyway.
