As for their daughter, she went with her newfound friends to the swamps too and... they are all dead as well. Now you can only let it go. You didn't participate in that part of their story so the story went without you :)
... and that's what I actually like about this game. But it still seems incoherent, given how interwoven the rest of the storytelling is. (I wouldn't have an issue with your approach but heck, all the time he's the tough witcher finding out everything but when he decides to find out what happened to the Baron he simply can't?)
So I can't ever complete the card game quest except when by chance I should come across and play the guy that has the Barons card? Or do I have to let go of this as well? ^^
maybe somebody can help me and knows something about that list in his office? what's its name?
I highly recommend to select-n-listen to all the personal story conversations of the Bloody Baron ... soon one will realise he wasn't and isn't a bad man that his daughter believes him to be. In the very fact, the bad person is his wife ...
well I've had that conversation with him and I still think he's a self righteous sucker. maybe that's why it's just fair that I won't be getting his card ^^
thing is I wasn't annoyed by all that but rather his self righteousness. why would his behavior all of a sudden be justified just because Anna hooked up with somebody else? I still don't feel sorry for the prick.
I wasn't rushing or anything of the like, not even skipped parts. I just decided to make him wait. if the story goes on regardless I don't mind, actually I like that about the game a lot. so when I don't have access then it's fair enough.
I'm not complaining, I just figured it's strange to not get all of the velen cards because of that.
... also, whilst using his incomes [when he risks his life on the battle-field].
Just imagine ... you are a service man sent off to war, a command that cannot be disobeyed. Each time, you send home your money to your beloved ... years later, you return home only to find the biyatch riding some dude in your bed inside your house drinking and eating your wine and food whilst enjoying pleasures on your income ... the Bloody Baron is far from a monster or priick.
I also agree with the part about his wife being a liar and how that shows terrible character. but, that being said, I'm of the opinion that his reaction is still self righteous and lacks dignity just as much. yes, in the end he tries to come around but I didn't see why I should immediately be his helper to do so.
the story got me from thinking 'he is a prick' to 'oh well, let him have his reasons' but still I was far from being sympathetic for him.
