thanks, i'm still thinking of buying this potion :summerskull:

I've changed it up a billion times. Using the console to give me the potion. Finally settled on something I liked, but was also annoyed that it was not obtainable during normal play so I gave myself some skill points too. It's infuriating that with the 12 skill limit already in place, they lock skills off in trees. If you're going to limit our total amount of skills we can equip, don't place arbitrary barriers forcing us to spend precious points in skills we aren't interested in. But that's why I bought it for PC. As Geralt would say, CD Red can sod off. I'm going to cheat.

Ok, i buy this potion from someone, if i come to the same person i've bought it from, will the potion reappear?

Yes. I believe it will return as soon as you exit the dialogue. If not, try to meditate for 5 days, it will restock all traders inventory.
P.S. If you want to reset for free - finish the game and start NG+, it will give you potion to use. As well as obvious way to get more skill points, most of which you won't be able to use anyway...

I wouldn't call it ''arbitrary''. It's a common thing in RPGs, and it's there to make it harder to create the ''One-build-to-rule-them-all'' sort of thing. What's the point in having skill points if you can just skip skills and get the ones after it instead?

That said, You can easily get more points to spend than you know what to spend them on, Making the restrictions a bit pointless.

It's arbitrary because of the restrictions on equipping skills. In most RPG's once you acquire it, it's active.

Well, it would make the game insultingly easy if you were allowed to equip all the skills, for one.

For two, it's a different system than typical RPGs, but easy enough to get accustomed to, and learn how to properly allocate points in.

i like this system but there is no chance to check all possible skills

I've argued with people before who blindly defend developers poor decisions... You don't listen. Believe it's good all you want, it's not.

...then we'll just have to correct that error with a mod.

http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/546/?.

I play that way with a mod.

I still die plenty.

Because we think that the skill system is fine, and you don't, we're in the wrong? Why?

You didn't even give any reasons why it's bad, only that you think it places unnecessary restrictions.

Sounds more like you refuse to accept that anyone else can think differently, which is on you, not us.

I don't play with that mod, and I barely die at all.

Your point?

Your point?

That having all skills with points invested active by default doesn't necessarilly make you overpowered.

It does though, You just lack the personal skills to make any use of them.

No amount of better gear or stats is going to make you a better player.
