Heart of The Woods fail - help / guide

so, the quest Heart of The Woods , i have come quite far in to the game now and not a single fail ,. green check marks all over the board
but this quest... ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ! oO

i refuse to believe it cant be dont with out a fail check mark ¨
simple i want to kill it and go svens route

but doing so fails the other guy and no matter how i try to do it different , i still get it failed check mark ..

i tried this for example
Examine the tracks in the woods using your Witcher Senses and find out what’s killing the villagers of Farylund.

Talk to Harald about the leshen.

Talk to Sven about the leshen.

Approach the altar.

Collect wolf hearts (5).

Collect your reward from Harald.

Find the person marked by the leshen.

Talk to Sven about Hilde.

Destroy the leshen’s totems (3).

Find the leshen by using your Witcher Senses to follow the sounds it makes.

Kill the leshen.

Collect your trophy.

Collect your reward from Sven.
"
dosen work since when you do the altar the guy dies before you can get the reward from him plus it ends the quest to , so bi sven or monster kill ..

so,, how the hell am i suppose to do this ?

So, have you found the solution yet? I have been trying the same thing for I don't know how long myself, it simply fails you, there is no way of doing this without getting this failed objective.

The Bug was you have to kill the leshen,so don't talk about saving the leshen, if I remember correctly the wolf hearts are part of saving the leshen,so don't take them , I believe that's what I did.
