Does Geralt get helmets?

No. nVidia doesn't have a technology that can replicate 'hat hair' yet. Maybe with DX12.

helmets bother visibility and coordination. not really useful because they (common helmets) dont protect the neck either.

why wear them at all? becuz it looks cool? or afraid of falling stones or arrows that never seem to connect to geralts head?

Geralt doesnt wear them because he is cool and all. Weird enough we wears armor and uses weapons when he could just swing his biological mace around.

Actually lore-wise any blow dealt by a creature they fight would be lethal. In the book he doesn't wear any armor, only leather jacket and gloves with silver dots.
Witchers rely on not being hit, that's why they drink potions that increase reflexes, slow metabolism... But this is a game so they had to put armor in it. But I think helmets would be too much and break immersion at least to me.

I'm almost 100% sure this's compromise voted in by monster community of Witcher 1 & 2 & 3 :) And the ladies. Too much protection'd be just unfair and stuff plus block view. Hairdressers Cartel'd have word or two as well about helmets.

no but you can get masks and other accecories altough they give no armour

Geralt is not a knight,but a traveler or assassin of monsters, hunters don't wear helmets either, neither do mages or sorcerers ,but of course you know all that, the point being, it is out of character,compared to a knight, he wears quite light armor for freedom of movement and speed. In my opinion....like I said you already know that.

His hair actually becomes nanotubes after the Trial of Grasses. No need for helmets, roll into rocks as much as you want.

There is no real reason to not wear helmets. FFS even in the World Wars people didn´t use body armor but STILL used helmets. It´s just stupid.
