New game plus question
Does the gear that you start New Game plus with level up with you, or does it become obsolete really quick like the normal Kaer Morhen gear? I'm just wondering if my Manticore armor will actually be decent for a while in NG+.

It will not level up in any way. If you start NG+ at level 40, pretty much every mob will start to drop level 40+ items in first area.

All the witcher gear diagrams need to be re-gathered and items re-crafted, you end up with new witcher gear with "legendary" prefix.

So there would be armor in White Orchard and Velen that would be better than grandmaster armor from the normal game?

Your grandmaster armour will stay the same level, the level of the armour in White Orchard will depend on your level when you start NG+ so you may want to change fairly quickly. Or give yourself a challenge and don't change until you get a full set of legendary witcher armour which is much better. Aerondight will continue to level with you so you may continue to use that.

Yes. Depends what level you use to start New Game+. If you start NG+ right after crafting grandmaster gear it will be fine for first 10-15 levels in NG+ (you know, bonuses it has etc). If you go around and finish everything end use level 50+ character for NG+, you can throw your old gear away in White Orchard.

Alright, thank guys. i'll probably just restart the game like normal then rather than NG+. I was hoping that grandmaster armor would be good until the middle of the game at least.

I'm just changing from the Mastercrafted armour it at level 70 on Death March. I'm still using Aerondight. I started NG+ at 50+. NG+ will allow you to try out all those abilities that you didn't have the points for the first time. It gives a different feel to the game starting out as a full witcher rather than having to find all those potions and abilities from scratch. So worth giving it a go.
