Gwent - Olivier's unique card.

The Question:

Where can I find Olivier's body? Can I still loot it and is it still in the game after so long time -- it's been weeks (ingame time) since he appeared on my Gwent players list, already dead, so maybe he'll not be there anymore?....If he is there, then where is 'there'? I mean, where can I find his corpse?

Details:

I'm nearing the time where I'll have to enter the High Stakes Gwent tournament, and I'm still wondering if I can get the card from one of the players who apparently died before I could play him.

When I started the 'Gwent: Playing Innkeeps' quest, the first I was sent to was Stjepan in Novigrad. There were two other names on the list, Cross Roads and Kingfisher. I went to Stjepan, played and won.

When I looked at the quest assignments again a new name had appeared: "Win Olivier's unique card". But it was written in red letter and crossed out, I could not play Olivier.

So I went on to play the other two and from there I went and finished other Gwent quests along with the ones at Skellige. But I didn't forget about the Olivier guy and I read several places that you can loot the corpses of players who die before you can get to play them.

Back - finally. :)

Well, I went to the location shown in the video.

It's kind of funny, I thought I'd been to all inns in Novigrad but I don't remember ever having been in that Inn before - or rather, I don't remember there being an inn at Hierarch Square. Yet I do remember having looted something from a small box like the one in the video on one or maybe two occassions during my game play.

But I didn't find anything in this box, I couldn't loot it. Then I noticed the name of the video is: "Where to find the Tibor Eggebracht card", so I looked through my decks and found that I already have that card.

So my conclusion is that either you can get this card elsewhere and not only from Olivier, or I have been in this inn before and looted the card not knowing it was the Olivier card I'd found.

Either way, you helped me solve the issue. :)

Thanks a lot, pal, I'd been looking for this Olivier guy and wondering about how to get the card if I couldn't gind him for quite a while, so I really appreciate your help.

I know that this thread is old, but....
I'm playing the latest version of the game. I foolishly saved mages, and got Olivier killed. I have searched the back room, and the card is definitely not in there. I also checked with the inkeep, and played him for the card he had.
Does anyone have info on where that card can be obtained in the current build?

I have the same problem, did you find a solution?

I was unable to find it in that spot until I beat Stjepan first. I beat him and the objective turned to “Find a unique card in the Kingfisher”.
