Do the expansions add more undiscovered locations?

Do they? Or are they all from the main game?
I'm wondering cause i just did a hidden tresure thing and there i found a Letter and a key for a Mission that is from an Expansion.
But i dont know if the location itself also came from the Expansion. Also the Monsters allready where Level 34.

Hearts of Stone is located in same velen map as main game, some of the quests and locations overlap. So yes, it adds new locations to Velen.

Blood and Wine is on completely different map.

Oh ok thx for the Info. I wanted to complete all possible side missions and locations from main game before starting the expansions. But i guess they will be kinda mixed now ;)

It doesn't matter if you mix in Hearts of Stone as that will fit either during or after the main game. Leave Toussaint (Blood & Wine) until after you get the main ending as the ending you get will affect what happens at the end of Blood & Wine.

It'll be really obvious, the Hearts of Stone content has all monsters at least level 32 or higher and you don't encounter a lot of those during your regular exploratory adventures in the base game.

The added areas are all North and Northeast sections of the Velen map, too.

Also, any quests that are for the expansion packs will have an appropriately colored ! next to its name.
