New Game Plus Issues
As some peolpe maybe already noticed, there seems to be a problem with the New Game+ after the Blood And Wine-Updates.
The problem is, that, set you have a high enough level when you started NG+, all enemies, gears and quests will be scaled accordingly to your level (with or without the enemy scaling - doesn't matter as the problem already exists from the beginning of NG+).
This can lead to the problem that you might have enemies that are above the lvl 100 cap (wolves or dogs that hit you once and steal half of your life).
Same goes for gears and craftables that are more like craftunables as they need a level that is above the level 100 cap.

Does someone else notice these problems? Does anyone know what's the best level to start the NG+ referring to this problem?
Can the devs patch this? Like coding something that sets everything that is calculated to have a lvl above 100 equal 100?

Well, I just find it quite interesting, that this wasn't considered to be possible or to possibly happen to players by the devs (however I forgive them! And I still love them!!!), although it seems to be obvious that there could be lvls above 100 if you just add some numbers to the levels in the NG+.
However thanks for the reply! Lets hope that this won't get buried or that they already noticed.

I'd just wish that every single game would have a "Report Bug"-function^^

I gave up on NG+ because it felt some parts of the game just broke with it. While normal game in any difficulty is enjoyable, NG+ was for me just too much about scaling numbers that were never meant to go that high.

Started a NG+ walkthrough on the Death March with a 53 lvl character few weeks ago. Monsters marked with a red skull kill me with a single blow, but I need few minutes to finish them off. Common enemies of the same level as mine die from two-three hits. It is so ez if you have a good skill and gear build of your character :Geralt:.

I just hope that they will fix this... allthough the new feature to scale enemies makes NG+ at least a bit useless..

Seems like the people who had this issue were people who cheated, exploited or used some mods that effected XP gain in some way. cause vanila game one should not get high enough level to break new game plus.

Thats what i've read too, but still i got in the NG with a lvl between something like 50-60 (not quite sure) without having cheated nor exploited nor modded...
So as it seems it is not only possible for these people but also for casual gamers

Where are you seeing these higher level enemies?

Not sure if I am the one who was suppose to cheat, exploit and mod the game.

I did every single quest in base game and both 2 expansions. I cleaned all the maps so there was no ? marks left anywhere. Crafted all the gears, bought alll the upgrades to the wineyard. Spent over 200 hours on it. I was level 55 when I tried NG+ for Death March playthrough achievement and the Card Collector achievement.

It is tougher to break level 50 mark without expansions, but B&W makes it really easy to level up high without any need to cheats, mods or exploits.

I did not. I am simply a compulsive competitionist. In the last few quests for blood and wine I am running into enemies who are impossibly over-leveled, meaning level 110 or higher. I will never be on equal footing with them. This isn't terrible for the majority of enemies as I can still defeat them using an alchemy build but one enemy in particular is causing me problems: Detlaff.

As far as I understood it, it has to do with the likely maximum amount of XP you can farm in a normal gain. So you are likely to end a normal or start a NG+ game with a certain level. If you are above that level the monsters are able to get even higher leves that it should be possible.

Thats because everything is calculated by your level from the basic savegame. So if you are above that set level you might even get craftables that are craftunables now^^
