SPOILERS. Question about save imports that affects witcher 3
I heard that you get Aerondight from lady of the lake in Blood and Wine. If you have imported save from witcher 1 you don't have to do any quests at all to get it, but I still needed to prove myself, why? I completed witcher 1 and imported it to witcher 2, then I completed witcher 2 which I also imported to witcher 3. Why I needed to prove myself? Game didn't register witcher 1 save from witcher 2?

Aerondight carriers over from 1 to 2 but not 2 to 3. The lady of the lake comments about it when she gives you the sword again in Blood & Wine.

Yes, I know. I was saying that if you imported all the saves to witcher 3, then you don't have to prove yourself to get it. Quests of valor etc

Information from Witcher 1 does not carry over to Witcher 3. What you heard is wrong. It was never stated that information from Witcher 1 would transfer.

Certain things carry over from 1 to 2 different things carry over from 2 to 3, Nothing carries directly through from 1 to 3. You still have to prove yourself and do the quests of valour. You no longer have the sword after all. Play the game and see what the lady of the lake says. Or if you can't wait look for a video on you tube.

I want to bump this up and say that this should be clearfied on the wiki or something, because the amount of misinformation about this spreading is absurd. I checked at least 4 different "how to get Aerondight YT videos on the topic and EVERYONE quotes this "if you import witcher 1 save..." point. I just did this quest with a savegame all the way from witcher 1, and can clearly say that you still have to prove the virtues.

So, either the game gltiched out, or it does not carry over.(which is fine, but the misinformation across the web is not fine.) Ty for clearing this up. T

he final point could be, if you have Aerondight in your inventory when you finish Witcher 2 it doesnt make you check the virtues? But I strongly doubt it and that is not what people are saying, so I think people are just lying.

Can confirm this is not the case. I kept Aerondight in my inventory for the end of Witcher 2 and it didn't carry over to 3. Guess Geralt just lost it or threw it out in between 2 and 3, and people writing/filming those 'guides' don't bother to check their facts.

my G was positively claiming amnesia when being asked where his A-dight disappeared :P
