Did I fail "Collect em' all" by missing "Following the Thread"?
I'm really confused about the collect em' all quest. The book says I still have 1 card in Skellige and 6 random cards. I've tried using gwentcards.com etc etc, but I cant find the last card in Skellige. Is it because I already took Uma and I cant find "Following the Thread" quest on the notice boards?

If you only got 2 nekker cards then yes, you are missing one from "Following the Thread" quest.

Or are you missing Geralt or Triss card?

Missing one of the nekkers. Have both Geralt and Triss.

Put so much effort towards the achievemnt, lol. Guess I'll have to start over...

You can try to go and kill Hammond without the quest anyway (not sure if it will work).

There should be a contract on the notice board in Hierarch Square, Novigrad called Monster in the Bits. That should start Following the Thread for you.

Checked all the notice boards in Novigrad, nothing.

Then you've missed it. Game is funny like. Sometimes things get lost when you advance too far ahead when the game expects you to do something else. It's still pretty damn linear for all its boasting of open-worldness.

Exactly my thoughts, but I guess I'll get them on my second playthrough. Thanks for the reply.

If you want just the achievement, you could cheat and add the card into your inventory using debug console.

Console won't disable achievements? In Skyrim you can't get a certain achievement if you use console.

It will not disable them in Witcher 3. You can cheat most achievements if you want to.

You can play with Lambert later in Kaer Morhen, so you haven't missed anything. If the "Collect 'em All" quest didn't fail then you can still get the cards and achivement.

I did play with Lambert, but I didn't get the Nekker card.

Hey, a guy who literally cared about nothing else other than the main story here: Can you, and if yes, how can you start the gwent quest if you have finished the game? I just got interested in gwent and it would be really cool to find out more.

I haven't beaten the main story yet, getting sidetracked all the time, so I don't know what will change after you finish the game. I think you don't have the Collect em All quest in your journal? There are a few ways to fail it and I guess if you only played the main story it failed. You can still play gwent and collect cards from innkeepers and merchants etc, but you can't get them all, nor can you get the achievement. I suggest you start a new game if you want to collect all the gwent cards.
