dismantle a mutagen question

in the lab at corvo bianco the only option i have is to dismantle a mutagen but i dont understand the use of it
what dismantle does ?
is the only possible option for the alchemy lab?

Dismantle will help you convert those hundreds of Wraith mutagens you collect into green, blue or red (don't really remember which of those was it) as you will need them to turn them into greater versions of each when you unblock the mutation option and the further levels later in Blood and Wine...

The other option you have in the alchemy lab is to refill you potions and bombs right away instead of meditating... that's in the table from the right (looking at the tables from the entrance)...

what a dismantle mutagen will become and where i found it in the inventory

when you dismantle a Wraith mutagen into a green mutagen.... you will find the green mutagen in your inventory, in the first page if I remember correctly.... usually, at the end...
