Dumb question about "places of power"
Im still new to the game and Ive been wandering around and found some places of power that gave me some extra skill points as well as bonuses to my magic powers. The question is: are those extra skill points permanent? If so, then its kinda very strong stuff, cuz its much like the same as leveling up! Also, you get a lot of good loot. Seems like the game actually rewards you for exploring the world map. Correct me if Im wrong.

1. Yes, it's permanent. No, it's not as OP as it seems since you require a ton of skill points just to be able to unlock the last skills in a single three.

2. Depends, weapons and armor tend to be horrible loot most of the time, money and crafting materials can be pretty handy though if you know what to do with them.

So, the game kinda demands you to search for those extra skill points?

Well it doesn't "demand" you to do so, but it does help alot if you want to, say, fully explore two branches of the same skill tree, because you really can't go too deep with these in your initial playthrough.

For instance, being level 52 and having found every single place of power in the game during a single playthrough, I've only managed to max out 3 lines of the skill three, leaving all the others seriously underdeveloped (Not saying this is good or bad, just that it's something, plus you can always respec your skills for a very cheap price anyway).
